On October 12, local authorities in Chechnya reported a tragic explosion at a gas station in Grozny, the regional capital, resulting in the deaths of four individuals, including two children.
According to reports, a tank at the gas station exploded, which triggered a fire and injured five others. Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov addressed the situation on social media platform Telegram, stating that the situation is under control and assured that those responsible for the incident will be brought to justice. However, he did not provide further details.
This incident follows previous explosions at gas stations in the nearby Dagestan region in September 2024 and August 2023, which led to the deaths of 13 and 35 people, respectively.
