Two people have been rescued from the roof collapse accident in Qianjiaying Coal Mine of Kailuan Group

On the morning of October 24, new developments surfaced regarding the roof collapse incident at Qianjiaying Coal Mine operated by Kailuan Group, where six miners were trapped. Reports from the scene indicate that rescue efforts have led to the successful ascent of two miners, who are now in stable condition.

According to a statement from Kailuan Group, the incident occurred at 4:37 AM on October 23 during production activities. The roof collapse trapped six miners, prompting extensive rescue operations.

Official sources report that the accident happened more than 680 meters underground. A tunneling machine encountered a fault during operations, causing the overhead rock layer to collapse and burying the machine under ten meters of debris. The resulting collapse also blocked a five-meter section of the tunnel with fallen rock. Fortunately, the two rescued miners managed to take refuge under the tunneling machine during the collapse and were discovered later on the evening of the 23rd.

Currently, four more miners remain trapped underground, and rescue efforts are ongoing.
