Penn winning streak brings joy to the whole city_1

The intercollegiate American football season at universities in the United States kicked off on August 24, and as of October 6, we’ve just completed Week 6 of the schedule. The team representing Penn State University has secured an impressive five consecutive victories.

On October 5, the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) faced off against Penn State in front of a crowd of 110,047 avid fans at Penn State’s home stadium, only to be defeated with a score of 11 to 27.

The home team entered the game as favorites and controlled the ball for a total of 27 minutes and 3 seconds throughout the match. They scored in all but the first quarter, boasting a solid lead of 14 to 3 at halftime.

Despite not committing any turnovers, UCLA struggled against Penn State’s stringent defense, accumulating only 260 yards and achieving one touchdown. In contrast, Penn State also played a clean game, gaining a total of 322 yards through passing and rushing, including one passing touchdown and two rushing touchdowns.

Looking ahead, Penn State’s next matchup will take them westward to face the University of Southern California (USC).
