On October 25 in Kuala Lumpur, a promotional event titled “Xinjiang is a Good Place” was organized by the Xinjiang Friendship Exchange Group, the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, and the Malaysian Institute for Strategic Research.
The event was attended by over 130 participants, including prominent figures such as Zumretin Ubulit, Chairman of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region People’s Congress, Ambassador Ouyang Yujing, and Saravathi, the Deputy Minister of the Malaysian Ministry of Unity, along with representatives from the political and academic sectors.
During the event, Zumretin provided a comprehensive overview of Xinjiang’s natural landscapes, historical culture, development achievements, and the practical application of the People’s Congress system in the region.
Ambassador Ouyang emphasized that Xinjiang’s economy has been consistently growing, with residents enjoying stable lives and a harmonious society. He described the region as a leader in high-quality economic development, a pioneer in high-level openness, and a model of multi-ethnic harmony and mutual prosperity. He expressed hope that more friends would visit Xinjiang in the future.
Deputy Minister Saravathi praised Xinjiang’s development achievements and looked forward to strengthening collaboration between Malaysia and Xinjiang across various fields.
Ambassador Ouyang and the delegation also engaged with the audience by answering questions.
