The 2024 American Weiquan -Exploring the Kingdom of the Dining Table- painting competition has started accepting submissions

The “Explore the Dining Table Kingdom” painting competition is rapidly approaching its submission deadline on November 6. This exciting event, organized by the World Journal in partnership with Wei-Chuan USA, invites children and teenagers under 16 from across the United States to tap into their creativity. This year’s theme, “The Dining Table Kingdom,” allows young participants to imagine an enchanting realm inspired by their daily dining experiences. In this whimsical kingdom, various ingredients transform into vibrant characters, and utensils become tools for adventure. Contestants are encouraged to depict the fascinating stories that unfold within this kingdom, showcasing their unique perspectives on food, family, and creativity. Moreover, the competition promotes family bonding by encouraging shared meal experiences and interactions.

The competition is divided into five age categories: 6-7 years, 8-9 years, 10-11 years, 12-13 years, and 14-16 years. Organizers encourage participants to utilize the online submission system, which can be found on the official event website. For those preferring to submit physical entries, please include personal details (name, date of birth, contact number, mailing address, and age group) on the back of the artwork and send it to the World Journal Events Team in New York (141-07 20th Ave, Floor 2, Whitestone, NY 11357) by November 6, 2024. If you wish for your artwork to be returned, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope.

To reward the outstanding talents of the participants, the organizers will offer cash prizes and certificates of recognition, with the top three winners receiving beautifully crafted medals. The first place in each category will win $200, the second place $160, and the third place $120, while honorable mentions will earn $60. The final submission date is Wednesday, November 6, 2024, with results and winning entries to be published in early December in the World Journal and on the event’s official website.
