On October 21, the “China Rendezvous: Meeting in Xinjiang” 2024 International Media Interview Event made its way to the Aksu region. A group of social media creators from nine countries, including Russia, Italy, and Belgium, arrived at the stunning Tianshan Tomur Scenic Area in Tower Village, nestled at the foot of Tomur Peak, to experience the local tourism scene.
As they arrived, Russian creator Sava exclaimed, “It’s beautiful—absolutely beautiful!” He frequently stopped to snap photos of the breathtaking scenery along the way. Upon reaching the scenic area, his awe deepened. “This is exactly the kind of scenery I’ve dreamed of—mountains, water, and grasslands.”
Colombian content creator Gao Fei shared his thoughts on the tranquil beauty of nature, saying, “It brings me such peace. I would definitely love to come back.” He emphasized the unique charm of the autumn grassland compared to the vibrant summer landscapes. Horses grazed lazily, while visitors enjoyed hot tea in cozy cafes, some chose to ride horses, stroll about, or simply lost themselves in the scenic views. As the sign in Tower Village reads: “Seek a quiet courtyard, hold a good book, wait for a kindred spirit, gaze at distant mountains, and find your peace.”
Italian photography creator Fabio aimed his lens at the majestic snow-capped mountains, vast grasslands, starry tents, and wooden cottages. “The stunning mountainous scenery here reminds me so much of my hometown; this familiarity is incredibly comforting.” In an unfamiliar place, he found a nostalgic connection—something Tower Village hopes to offer all its visitors.
“Welcome to Tower Village!” Anarghuli Aisaka, the head of the scenic area’s guidance department, warmly greeted the creators. She explained that currently, 70% of the village’s residents work in the scenic area, receiving monthly salaries and year-end bonuses. Many families have transformed their homes into guesthouses and farm stays, creating beautiful gardens and inviting dining spaces, significantly increasing their household incomes.
Gao Fei added, “The more tourists come here, the better it is for the local residents and the economy. The locals are also more motivated to make this place even better and more appealing.”
Tower Village is becoming increasingly popular with attractions such as a 24-hour bar, various styled cafes, a train-themed hotel, and the trendy “Sky Ladder.” Preparations for winter tourism are currently underway. The general manager of the Tianshan Tomur Scenic Area, Hou Lianxin, extended an invitation to the creators, saying, “After enjoying the colorful and beautiful autumn scenery, we welcome everyone back in winter to enjoy the ice and snow activities.”
