On October 12, a 16-year-old Chinese-American boy named Ryan Zheng went missing in the Flushing and Auburndale areas of Queens. Recently, the police released his photo and appealed for the public’s assistance in locating him.
According to the NYPD’s 109th precinct, Ryan was last seen leaving his home on 45-26 163rd Street around 11 p.m. that night and has not returned since.
Ryan’s family has taken to social media to share missing person notices, expressing their concern and noting that he doesn’t have a large circle of friends. They mentioned that, as of the announcement, there had been no updates regarding his whereabouts and are urging the community to help.
Described by both police and family, Ryan has a slim build, stands approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs around 150 pounds, and has black hair. The last known sighting of him was when he was wearing navy blue sweatpants, a gray long-sleeve t-shirt, black flip-flops, and a pair of glasses.
