Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Information and Innovation Industry Alliance launched in Tianjin

On October 25th, the 2024 Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Industrial Chain and Supply Chain Conference officially opened in Tianjin. Over 800 participants, including representatives from leading domestic and international companies, business associations, and platform organizations, gathered to focus on industrial collaboration within the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region while exploring new avenues for development. During the conference, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Information Innovation Industry Alliance was formally launched.

Themed “Linking Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei for a Win-Win Future,” the event was co-hosted by the municipal governments of Tianjin, Beijing, and Hebei. More than 60 agreements related to key collaborative projects were signed, covering a variety of sectors including electronic information, biomedicine, new energy, and new materials. The expected total investment is over 40 billion yuan, focusing on industrial collaboration, investment attraction, and financing services.

The conference featured presentations on the industrial layouts and policy advantages of the three regions. Liu Wenqiang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of the China Electronic Information Industry Development Research Institute, emphasized the importance of “chain cluster collaboration as a core pathway to advance new industrialization” in his speech.

In the past decade, the combined economic output of the three regions has increased dramatically, surpassing five trillion yuan in growth. Emerging industries, such as next-generation information technology, new energy vehicles, and high-end equipment, have each exceeded the trillion-yuan mark, becoming key drivers of high-quality development. The conference also released the “Ten-Year Report on Collaborative Development in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei,” showcasing impressive achievements in bolstering regional industrial strength, fostering interconnected clusters, and accelerating the construction of major application scenarios.

Additionally, the conference celebrated the founding of the Chinese Software Information Innovation Headquarters and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Information Innovation Industry Alliance, with a focus on fostering innovation in next-generation information technology. The three regions are committed to building platforms, expanding application scenarios, and overcoming critical technological challenges to enhance industrial development levels.

Moreover, the conference featured targeted promotional activities for six key industrial chains: hydrogen energy, new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, biomedicine, cybersecurity and industrial internet, high-end instruments and machine tools, and robotics. A series of inspection activities were organized to deepen collaboration and exchanges between local enterprises and their partners.
