The BRICS cooperation mechanism serves as a vital platform for emerging market countries and developing nations to enhance solidarity, cooperation, and protect their common interests. Over the years, President Xi Jinping has focused on the long-term development of partnerships among BRICS nations, striving to deepen and solidify the BRICS cooperation mechanism.

In recent years, China, alongside its BRICS partners, has promoted practical cooperation across various sectors, including trade, finance, technology, agriculture, industry, and green energy. This collaborative effort has expanded the opportunities within BRICS cooperation, injecting robust momentum into the shared prosperity of countries in the Global South.

One significant project is the New Development Bank (NDB), headquartered in Shanghai’s Expo Park.
