On October 24, in Beijing, officials from the China Coast Guard and the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation convened for the second high-level meeting between the two coast guard agencies. This significant gathering was co-chaired by Yu Zhong, the director of the China Coast Guard, and Admiral Troitsky, the deputy director of the Border Service and the head of the Coast Guard for the Russian Federation.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the collaborative achievements made in 2024 and acknowledged the positive outcomes since the signing of the memorandum of understanding on enhancing maritime law enforcement cooperation. They expressed strong appreciation for the successful execution of joint exercises and patrols conducted by the Chinese and Russian coast guard agencies for the first time. Additionally, they engaged in discussions on topics of mutual concern.
The representatives emphasized the need to deepen practical maritime cooperation and enhance the joint operational capabilities of the coast guards. They noted that these efforts would contribute positively to strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Russia in the new era, ensuring maritime security and stability, and fostering a maritime community with a shared future.
